GATEKEEPER CHALLENGE SERIES

5 EVENTS, 6 QUALIFIERS & ONE SHOW DOWN FOR $5,000 IN CASH!

The GATEKEEPER CHALLENGE SERIES launches this weekend on the Vancouver Golf Tour at the Langley Concrete Chilliwack Open.  In this exciting new series on the IGA Vancouver Golf Tour, thanks to VGT’s latest partner sponsor GATEKEEPER SYSTEMS INC, six VGT Pros will qualify for to compete for $5,000 in BONUS PRIZE MONEY at the GATEKEEPER CHALLENGE SERIES FINAL in September (date TBA)!

The Professional medalist in the following five events will earn an invitation to play in the

$5,000 GATEKEEPER CHALLENGE SERIES FINALS: 

The 6th and final qualifying spot will be awarded to the highest VGT Professional on the Srixon/Cleveland Order of Merit (not already qualified for the Series Final) at the end of the Vancouver Open.

“This is an exciting release for us this year, particularly given the challenging circumstances for our player around Covid-19 and many not getting the opportunity to advance their careers on the Mackenzie Tour this year” stated VGT Commissioner Fraser Mulholland.  “This is a welcome BONUS for our local Professionals and we can’t thank Doug Dyment of GATEKEEPER SYSTEMS enough for his generosity at this time”. 

“The Series will definitely add a bit of excitement over our next five events on the schedule and give our players a bit more of an incentive to training hard the remainder of the season to qualify for a spot in the GATEKEEPER SERIES FINALS“ continued Mulholland.

The SERIES will offer $5,000 in BONUS MONEY and will play out as an 18-Hole Stroke-Play Event as follows:

$5,000 PRIZE PAYOUT:

  • 1st Place: $1,500
  • 2nd Place: $1,000
  • 3rd Place: $800
  • 4th Place: $650
  • 5th Place: $550
  • 6th Place: $500

The date and golf course for the GATEKEEPER SERIES FINALS will be announced early next week, with VGT’s Commissioner targeting for a mid-September event for this Premier SHOWDOWN featuring VGT’s Top Talent!
