Welcome to the 2012-‘13 VGT Winter Tour! We would like to begin the year by thanking everyone for their continued support of VGT in 2012. Please read through the following information which outlines the guidelines of this year’s Winter Tour.
2012-2013 Winter Tour Memberships
Anyone wishing to sign up for Winter Tour Membership have two options:
- Email fraser@vancouvergolftour.com and provide the following information:
Then pay membership at your first Winter Tour event (cheque or cash only)- Full Name
- Phone Number
- Status – Professional, Amateur (and RCGA Handicap factor)
- Golf Course/City Affiliation
- Pay online here

EARLY BIRD MEMBERSHIP RATES:

OCT 12 – $50+HSTOCT 13 – $55+HSTOCT 14 – $60+HSTOCT 15 – $65+HSTOCT 16 – $70+HST- OCT 17 – $75+HST (will remain $75+HST after this date)
Event Fees:
- Members: $80 + HST (per event)
- Non-Members: $100 + HST (per event)
*All Entries include lunch or a food voucher on the day of the event
Skins Game:
A $20 optional gross skins game is available
Eligibility:
The VGT Winter Tour is open to all CPGA, PGA, Can Tour, Non Status Professionals and Amateurs (Up to 18.0 handicap factor). Amateurs will compete in 3 separate flights (0-5.0; 5.1 to 10.0 and 10.1 to 18.0).
VGT Winter Tour Event Policies and Procedures:
The following guidelines will be used to assist with each event:
- Event Registration
It is up to each tour member to register for each event in one of three ways by the registration deadline (4 days prior to event):- Email fraser@vancouvergolftour.com confirming your entry and pay on site (by cheque or cash only!)
- Sign-up for event thru your VGT Membership in Golfbox and pay on site
- Pay online (Payment Available in Right Sidebar)
- Event Field Sizes
All Winter Tour event field sizes (other than the Tour Championship at 60) will be maxed at 60 players. The first 30 pros and 30 amateurs to sign up for each event will make up the field. If the host golf course has room for additional golfers we may extend the field size beyond 60. - No-Shows or Cancellations within 24 HOURS
Anyone withdrawing from an event within 24 hours or not showing up for an event they have registered for will be FINED THE COST OF THEIR ENTRY FEE. This fee must be paid to VGT before participating in their next VGT event. - Late Registration
Players who sign up after the Registration Deadline will be on a stand-by basis until there is a cancellation or withdrawal from the event. - Tournament Cancellations
Due to Inclement Weather VGT will be responsible for determining if the event will be cancelled due to inclement weather and golf course conditions. VGT will email all players as soon as we have determined the golf course is not suitable for play. We will attempt to re-schedule any tournament that is cancelled to a suitable date that works for both the Winter Tour Schedule as well as for the golf course. - Purse Payouts
Payout is 40% of field in the Professional field and 25% of the field in Amateur Flights (Amateurs will receive gift cards to the golf course we are playing and prizes.) - Winter Order of Merit:
Top 30 Professionals and Top 30 Amateurs (10 Amateurs in each flight) by the end of the 2 last Winter Tour Event will qualify for the Winter Tour Championship on March 13 th . Standings will be determined by cumulative points earned in VGT Winter Tour Events. - Tour Championship Purse:
Five percent of all Professional Entries and 5% of all Amateur Entries (After Green fees) will be withheld from each event and put directly into the Tour Championship purse and Amateur Prize pool. Last year this amounted to a bonus pool of $1,000 cash in the Pro Pot and $900 in bonus prizes added to the Amateur Pot at the TC. These bonuses are paid out 50% to the top 3 Order of Merit winners in each flight the remaining 50% paid out into the Tour Championship Purse!
