VGT Professionals John Shin and Lindsay Bernakevitch prevailed at the 2010 VGT Kings Links Open today, both shooting rounds of 4-under par 68 for a shared victory at Vancouver Golf Tour’s fourth event of the year. Both Shin and Bernakevitch took home $1,025 each for their win and moved to 3rd place and 7th place respectively in the 2010 CLEVELAND GOLF/ SRIXON CANADA Order of Merit. Seymour Creek’s Bryn Parry was one shot back in a four way tie for 3rd, maintaining a solid lead in the Race for the $5,000 PGA Q-School Entry with 3,550 points. Heading up the Championship Amateur field was 26-year old Marine Drive Member Geoff Butt with a fine score of 3-under par 69 and a one shot victory over Northview’s Derek Wray. Butt took home a Cleveland Launcher 3-wood and a $100 Marketplace IGA Gift Card for his victory.
