"I am not exactly sure how much we will raise this year in this initiative" stated VGT Commissioner Fraser Mulholland.  "But it's exciting to imagine the possibilities if we can get some traction.  It really would be outstanding to get a sizeable fund started and see where it goes in the future.  Whatever amount we raise, we are greatly appreciative of the opportunity that VANCOUVER DISCOUNT GOLF CARD owner Bill Wilms has offered the VGT to assist our players with their tournament expenses!"

"Bill and I have a long history in the game of golf, from being coached by him as a UBC Varsity Golfer to then playing on Bill's local Professional Circuit back in the mid 90's and lately re-acquainting for the past few years as co-hosts of the TSN1040 Sunday Golf Show" continued Mulholland.  "We will be making a big push through our VGT social media channels to get the message out that the Vancouver Discount Golf Card (sponsored by TSN1040 Radio) is not only incredible value for the BC golf consumer, but is playing a significant role in assisting BC Golfers with their tournament goals".

ABOUT THE BURSARY FUND

VGT will initiate a minimum of one Bursary that will be awarded at the end of the VGT season at the Tour Championship. If card sales surpass our goals, then multiple bursaries will be established.  The criteria for this bursary will be established at a later point this spring.
